
History
Although a group began informal meetings in 1981, the Central Illinois Chapter
was officially formed in 1982 and was incorporated with the state of Illinois in
January 1987.

The chapter, which has 77 members, received recognition as a Chapter Ten Star at
the 2001 International Conference and won the Abel Hanson Award for
communications excellence in 1999. The chapter is a member of the local Leave A
